KDX Internet Radio/TerrestrialBroadcasting
KDX is devoted to programs of critical thought, skepticism and
propaganda-free information gathered
from many sincere pod and broadcasters, with their permission.
KDX is operated non-commercially and is a non-prophet station; secular
programs only, no hate, no cults.

search tool at Shoutcast.com.
Operating hours posted on SCHEDULE page.
The name "KDX" is derived from two standard prefixes from U.S. radio
lore: The letter K is the designated call sign for radio stations located west of the
Mississippi River; the term DX stands for "Distance" for mobile 2-way
radio operators such as HAMS. Typical use: "What is your DX?" = "Where
are you located?"
KDX was registered in the mid-70s as a cable FM station, but the local
cable franchise failed to do much with their FM capacity, so
when
webcasting arrived we re-purposed our call letters and began test
streaming
on March 29, 2007 at 7:20 PM. Regular programming began on
June 1, 2007.
KDX streams from a server on Forest Park Drive in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Terrestrial History
Founded in 1959 as a radio production company, Terrestrial Broadcasting
Service, Incorporated, has evolved,
or you could say been created, into an audio, video, print and most
recently a streaming radio service. During the 1970s our slogan was The Most Most Medium Sized
Recording Studio in the World. From this stage we became Ahead of the Future,
until most recently when our mantra became Slow
but Better. The Company is commercially inactive following
the death of one partner and retirement of the other.
